I am new to this forum - please be patient with me. I would like to chime in on this subject as I have first hand knowledge of the child abuse I encountered as a JW. I was abused while growing up in the JW's. My mother is mentally unstable. I do not believe the JW religion is fully responsible for her actions as I believe I would have been abused if we were Catholic or Methodist. I have come to realize - over many years of recovering - that the religion called out to my mother because of her weak mind. The religion justified and protected her actions. The religion did not force her to abuse as that was destined to happen, regardless. I was fortunate to have friends in the JW that had somewhat normal families. They were not abused.

Raising Children In The JW Cult Is Child Abuse
by George Yurich inraising children in the jw cult is child abuse because the jw cult is the most dangerous organization on earth.
the jw cult is totally satanic.
anybody who is a jw is insane and psychotic and incapable of logical and analytical thinking.

Thank you for having me - I am lucky to have OhioCowboy as my friend and you can not imagine how happy I was that the rumor was just that - a rumor. Too bad for all the years we have lost - but, better late than never.
Thanks again -

I remember the Palm School in Daytona Beach. I dodged the bullet on that one. My mother took me out of school in the 8th grade and that was a huge mistake. Not only was she not qualified to teach me but she was too lazy. So, I passed the entire grade with flying colors, doing all the work on my own. I thankfully went back to Ormond Beach Jr High in the 9th grade. I was lost. My work for the home school was totally different than what the public schools were doing. I would get beatings for having less than satisfactory grades when I was trying to catch up. Still better than being at home!
Then, the Palm School opens. My mother tried to convince me to attend and I talked her out of it. I am so glad. Never heard a positive thing about the school.
